Job Description:
GliaCell is seeking a Senior Cloud System Architect on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. (This position requires in-scope poly, within 7 years).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- 9+ years of related work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field. Must work with little to no prescriptive guidance. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong knowledge of cloud solutions included but not limited to AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products.
- Demonstrated experience using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Must possess one active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (i.e. AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
- Work well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with Terraform, AWS, Linux, and with the ServPro team
- Development experience with both Linux and Windows workloads using cloud technologies with automation including Amazon Cloudformation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker.
- Demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby.
- Provide Tier I/II support. Follow established guidelines for delivery of cloud based resources.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer resources.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources.
- Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams.
- Maintain currency of relevant documents and update the Wiki and SharePoint knowledge bases.
- Monitor and respond to chat rooms.
- Provide Tier I/II support. Follow established guidelines for delivery of cloud based resources.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer resources.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources.
- Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams.
- Maintain currency of relevant documents and update the Wiki and SharePoint knowledge bases.
- Monitor and respond to chat rooms.
- Should be able to develop with a DevOps approach for both Linux and Windows workloads using proven, cutting-edge cloud technologies including automation with Amazon Cloudformation,
- OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker.
- Must be able to deploy new cloud production, staging, and test environment.
- Responsible for all aspects of integration and deployment to include, Infrastructure and application deployment, load testing, and disaster recovery.
- Must take planning seriously and strive for a seamless transition with little to no downtime.
- Should be able to identify the most agile, scalable infrastructure, and select the best cloud services and technologies for customer projects and plan all implementation procedures.
- Should be able to automate and deploy cloud infrastructures.
- Is responsible for full documentation of the cloud infrastructure to enable a smooth handoff to application team.
- Should have experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby.
- Demonstrated experience planning and implementing Infrastructure as a Service (iaaS) and
- Platform as a Service (Paas) using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- The architect will be responsible for deployment of new solutions into existing cloud resources or off-premise infrastructure.
- Must Possess Strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services and solutions like AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $260,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
